The INON "Video Base" is dedicated accessory carrying versatile usability to attach a video light etc. on Canon "WP-V4", "WP-V3", "WP-V2", "WP-V1" water-proof case which is for Canon HD digital camcorder "iVIS HF series". The "Video Base" consists of a Base Plate which is designed to fit to water-proof case base with tripod screws and Port Unit attached on the water-proof case with pressure bonding. This design structure enables to hold optional accessories securely without excessive load on tripod-screw mount of the water-proof case.
The Video Base supports wide selection of INON accessories including attachment lenses, LED flashlights and lighting arms to set up perfect underwater video system depending on shooting style.

Flexible lighting arm configuration

The Video Base can have compact "Shoe Base" on top of the lens port and two D Holder on both sides to support simple and compact set-up and upgrading to multi lighting system only with compatible flashlight(s) and lighting arm product(s).

*Canon water-proof balance weight [WW-DC1] is not usable together with the "Video Base V2", "Video Base V1". If you do not use attachment lens nor LED flashlight etc., please combine with other accessory to get slightly negative underwater buoyancy to avoid accidental rapid ascent.

Supports various am configurations in combination of [D Holder] and [Shoe base].

No obstruction to take out or put in a camcorder

The Video Base and combined "Shoe Base" / "D Holder" does not obstruct to open / close the water-proof case and will not bother you when you need to change batteries with these accessories.

You can open / close an underwater case even with two [D Holder] on both sides.

Compatible with M67 series lens

The Canon "WP-V4", "WP-V3", "WP-V2", "WP-V1" water-proof case is equipped with 67mm threaded lens ring where you can directly attach INON M67 series lens or INON 28M67 series lens.

Supports professional videography with INON attachment lenses,

LED flashlights and lighting arms.

(*1) The "UWL-100 Achromat Type2" is originally designed for a digital camera carrying 1/1.8 inch image sensor (CCD etc.), approx. 7mm focal length at zoom wide end (35mm film equivalent: 35mm) and approx. 3x zoom lens, and not designed for a digital camcorder iVIS HF20, iVIS HF21, iVIS HF M31 which carries 1/4 inch image sensor, 4.1mm focal length (35mm film equivalent: 39.5mm) and 15x zoom lens.
Our detailed compatibility test has confirmed that there is significant degradation of image quality on circumference part of an image comparing to compatible digital camera, so "compatibility is limited" only for those can accept below sample images / movies quality.

(*2) The combination of "UWL-100 Achromat Wide Conversion Lens Type2" and its super wide option "Dome Lens Unit for UWL-100" is NOT compatible since this combination has more significant image quality deterioration than above "UWL-100 Achromat Type2" stand-alone use. Please refer below sample image / movie to see image quality with this combination.

(*3) The UWL-100 Achromat Wide Conversion Lens "Type1" is not physically attached on the WP-V1/WP-V2. However UWL-100 Achromat "Type1" can be modified to UWL-100 Achromat "Type2". Please contact your purchasing dealer for detail.

(*4) It is recommended to use "UWL-H100 28M67 [Type2]" for its optical compatibility rather than using "UWL-H100 28M67 [Type1]" / "UWL-H100 28M67[Type2]" though both of them are physically attached on the water-proof cases. Optional "M67 Screw Ring Set for UWL-H100 28M67 Type2" allows you to change from Type1 to Type2.
"UWL-100 Achromat [Type1]" is not physically attached and "UWL-100 Achromat [Type2]" is not optically compatible.
